Volunteer with Prairie Sky Heritage Railway

Help Restore History.
Ride the Legacy.

Prairie Sky Heritage Railway is on the move—and we need your help to make it happen.

We’re restoring authentic vintage Canadian railcars and launching a unique heritage train experience along Saskatchewan’s longest straight rail line. It’s a bold prairie project driven by passion, community spirit, and volunteers like you.

Whether you’re handy with tools, love storytelling, or just want to be part of something meaningful, there’s a place for you aboard the Prairie Sky Hetitage Railway.

We’re Looking for Volunteers Who Can:

Get Hands-On

  • Help with cleaning, repairing, or restoring heritage railcars
  • Paint, polish, and prepare railcars for passenger use
  • Assist with safety checks and light mechanical work (under guidance)

Lend a Hand

  •  Organize tools, supplies, and materials
  • Join set-up crews at events and excursions
  • Offer general support—no experience needed!

Support Events

  • Greet and guide guests at train rides or public events
  • Sell tickets or merchandise
  • Take photos, post updates, or run a booth at community festivals

Share the Story

No Experience? No Problem.

We welcome volunteers of all ages and backgrounds. Whether you have railway knowledge, restoration skills, or just a willingness to help, we’ll work with your interests and schedule. All necessary tools, training, and support are provided.
